Approaching Kahunga trading center, the road was covered with running water, prompting him to swerve to the right, violating the right of way of the oncoming UBP 314A from the opposite direction, resulting in a tragic head-on collision.

Thirteen passengers in the taxi UBP314A sustained injuries and were admitted to Itojo hospital. The bodies of the deceased were transported to Itojo hospital mortuary pending postmortem.

Both vehicles were towed and parked at Ntungamo police station for inspection. The incident leaves behind a somber reminder of the fragility of life.
