Over 500 Individuals in Kisoro Municipality Receive PDM Money

KISORO- A total of 549 individuals in Kisoro municipality have received PDM money as disclosed by LC3 chairpersons representing the three divisions of Kisoro municipality.

According to Ndahiro James, the Chairperson of Southern Division LC3, his division accounted for 274 beneficiaries. Among them, 108 recipients were from Gasiza ward, 71 from hospital ward, and 95 from Busamba ward.

Niyonzima Michael Bazamanza, the LC3 Chairperson of Northern Division, reported that a total of 150 individuals received the money, with 90 beneficiaries from Kamonyi ward and 60 from Nyagashinge ward.

He commended the government of Uganda, led by His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for implementing this exceptional program and expressed confidence that it would lead to socioeconomic transformation.

Michael Bazamanza also advised the recipients to refrain from engaging in dubious activities that could tempt them to misuse the funds. He encouraged them to utilize the money responsibly to improve their livelihoods.

Ndikuyeze Ramandhan, the Chairperson of Central Division LC3, stated that 125 beneficiaries from his division had received the money, with 75 from Nyamagana ward and 50 from Central ward.

He assured those who had not yet received the money to remain patient, assuring them that the distribution process was ongoing. Additionally, he urged the PDM committee chairpersons to maintain transparency and honesty throughout the ongoing registration exercise.
