Sell Stock or Face Store Closure – Kabale RDC Issues Ultimatum to Scrap Dealers

KABALE – The Resident District Commissioner of Kabale, Godfrey Nyakahuma, has issued a two-week ultimatum to scrap dealers, directing them to either sell off their current stock or face the closure of their stores.

Last Friday, the Kabale district security committee, responding to a surge in vandalism of government properties, particularly along various roads in Kabale municipality leading to numerous accidents, decided to temporarily suspend scrap business operations.

RDC Nyakahuma explains that the decision to set a two-week ultimatum was prompted by complaints from scrap dealers about stock outs, which had paralyzed their business amidst surge in vandalism of government properties. He emphasized that the suspension is a measure taken to enhance security for both the business community and residents in Kabale municipality and the district at large.
