75 year-old Rwampara woman murdered, Body Burnt, Her Properties Destroyed.

RWAMPARA: The police in Rwampara district are investigating circumstances under which a 75 year-old- woman has been murdered, body burn’t, her house set a blaze and Banana plantation cut down.

Asp Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi region police spokes person has identified the deceased as Kasiime Jadress a resident of Kashuro cell ,Bujaga parish, Buteraniro Nyeihanga Town Council in Rwampara district.

Kasasira says, the deceased was on Wednesday night this week attacked by a group of boda boda riders at around 11:00 Pm who killed her,burnt the body, set her house ablaze and the banana plantation cut down.

Kasasira adds, the act of mob action was a retaliation to the attempted murder by cutting of Mpairwe David 51 years old businessman a resident of Kashuro cell, Ndeija parish, Ndeija subcounty where the son of the deceased a one Mutatina and others are suspects still at large waylaid Mpairwe David on his way back home from Nyamukana trading centre armed with pangas cut him on the head but was rescued by his workers after making an alarm that forced the assailants to take off.

He added that Mpairwe is now hospitalised at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital on oxygen.

He condemned acts of mob action saying that they are inhuman and unlawful urging the public to always turn to legal processes to have their grievances addressed.
