MBARARA: Skylight Hotel Staff Member Commits Suicide by Jumping from Building

MBARARA – On Tuesday Evening, Shock engulfed Skylight Hotel in Mbarara City as one of their own tragically ends their life by jumping from the building.

The individual, identified as 25-year-old Cosma Nuwahereza, a resident of Nyarugando cell, Nyakishenyi sub-county, Rubabo constituency, Rukungiri district, plunged from the third floor of the hotel on Tuesday evening, meeting a fatal end.

SP Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson, disclosed that the incident occurred around 7:30 PM when Nuwahereza ascended to the fourth floor before leaping.

Kasasira elaborated that the deceased sustained severe head and bodily injuries.

“No suicide note was found, prompting police to delve into Nuwahereza’s background to understand the underlying reasons for his actions, with initial speculation pointing towards financial strain”. Kasasira stated.

Locals conjecture that financial woes might have driven the deceased to take his own life.

The deceased’s remains have been transferred to the Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital mortuary as investigations commence.
