RUBANDA- Police in Rubanda district are currently investigating the sudden death incident of a 61 years old Andrew Kagwa who fell off the cliff at Kakangaga village, Kaara parish, Muko sub county in Rubanda district.
According to Elly Maate, the Kigezi police spokesperson, the incident happened on Sunday night during unknown time and that the case of sudden death was reported by the wife of one Tumuhimbise Ucitina (60).
Maate alleges that, On Sunday during night, the deceased left his wife in bed sleeping at their home at Rwakamu village, Kaara parish, went outside and the wife waited in vain.
Maate told Journalists that on Monday Morning, Tumuhimbise reported the case of disappearance to LCS and area Police of Nyamuliro PMPU detach, search was conducted and his body was recovered when he had fell off the cliff and hit his head on the ground and sustained head injury leading to his death.
He asserted that police found a polyethene bag containing Wolfram minerals of about 7 kgs suspected to have been stolen in the hands of the deceased.
He added that Police visited the scene of crime and documented, Post-mortem done and body handed to the relatives for burial.
