RUBANDA: Man hands himself to police after killing colleague over woman

RUBANDA- Police in Rubanda district have arrested one suspect for alleged murder by assault of a 39 years old James Monday a resident of Katasa village Kaara parish Muko sub county Rubanda district.

It’s alleged that today at around midnight at Katasa village unknown people assaulted the deceased on his way home from Nyanamo trading centre.

He made an alarm which attracted his family members and upon reaching him they found him in critical condition while naked.

He was rushed to Rugarama hospital for treatment where he died from at around 07:20 Am.

ASP Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson says that police were informed by the sub county chairperson one Patrick Arinaitwe and a team of police officers headed by OC CID Rubanda district D/ASP Bernice Aine reported at the scene of crime and documented it.

Maate asserts that post-mortem was done by Police surgeon SP Odulusi and one suspect Ahimbisibwe reported herself at Nyamuriro mineral police and was arrested.

He added that the suspect had misunderstandings with the deceased over his second wife one Ahimbisibwe Provia and they have been in courts of LC3 and CDO’S office.
