Sons held for Killing Biological Father in Rubanda.

The territorial police in Rubanda district are investigating circumstances under which a 46 year-old-man in Muko sub County has been allegedly murdered by his family members as a result of domestic violence

The deceased is one African Tindimurekura a resident of kibungo village, Karengyere parish, Muko Sub County, Rubanda West County in Rubanda district.

According to allegations, on Sunday 04/12/2022 at around 02:00 AM during the night, the deceased assaulted his wife one Yunisi Nyamishana (32) who had attempted to rescue their son one Dismus Byomugabe (18) from being beaten on allegation that he had sold off his father’s saw.

In the process, she sustained an injury on the left eye which required medical attention, but there was no means. This prompted the son one Derrick Tumwesigye (20) to sell the father’s hen to take their mother to the hospital.

Allegations further indicate that  on Tuesday this week at around 10:00 Pm, when the head of family returned back home, he got annoyed with Derrick and boiled water to burn both Derrick and Dismus as they enter their bed to sleep.

Fortunately, they got this information from their sister one Tumuhekyi Caroline and they struggled to pour the water down which resulted into a fight whereby they hit their father with two big stones on the head around the right ear and died instantly.

Asp Elly Maate, the kigezi region police spokesperson has confirmed the incident saying that Police at Muko police post was informed yesterday at around 11:00 Am, responded to the scene and was  documented, postmortem done and body released to the relatives for burial.

Maate says the two sons Derrick and Dismus were arrested to assist in investigations.
