NRM Youth League Donates Roofing Materials to Luwero Market Vendors

LUWERO – A group of NRM youth league members, led by their Chairman Hajji Gaddafi Nassur, demonstrated their commitment to community welfare by donating over 100 iron sheets to vendors at the Balikyejjusa roadside market in Luwero district.

This gesture aimed to assist in roofing the new market currently under construction.

The donation, made on Wednesday, coincided with the belated celebrations of NRM/A’s 38th liberation day and UPDF’s 43rd Tarehe-Sita anniversary. It served as a tribute to the invaluable contributions of the Luwero community during Uganda’s liberation struggle.

Addressing the vendors, Hajj Gaddafi, also a member of the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC), emphasized the NRM government’s gratitude for Luwero’s sacrifices during the 1980s bush war.

He urged them to remain steadfast amidst opposition influences, advocating for their engagement in government empowerment initiatives such as the Parish Development Model (PDM) and the establishment of SACCOs to access microfinance support.
