KABALE – The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Catheline Atwakiire Ndamira, has emphasized the importance of embracing technical courses for both learners and parents in order to address unemployment issues in Uganda.
In a message delivered by her Political Assistant, Mr. Alex Akampurila, during the fundraising ceremony at Kagunga Technical Institute, Hon. Atwakiire urged students and parents to value technical education. She highlighted that such courses equip students with practical skills, enabling them to initiate self-help projects during and after their studies.
With this approach, Hon Atwakiire believes, this will contribute to alleviating the prevalent issue of unemployment in the country.

Addressing the gathering, Technical Principal Mr. Mwebaze Wilson explained that the fundraising event aimed to gather funds for the construction of a boys’ dormitory at the institute.
During the service, Reverend Canon Stephen Turwomwe, now retired, delivered a sermon, urging Christians to always express heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty God. He emphasized the significance of giving thanks for all the blessings bestowed upon them, as a fundamental commandment of faith.
