KABALE- The Kabale National Identification Registration Authority (NIRA) registrar for greater Kabale district Ms Sarah Nakibuuka has asked residents in Kigezi Sub region to embrace the National Identity card registration to avoid getting challenged when accessing the government services.
Nakibuuka said this on Wednesday this week while speaking to our reporter at the office premises along Mutambuuka road in Kabale municipality.
Nakibuuka said that most of the people have met big challenges while accessing different services like applying for job opportunities, applying for VISA, Opening of Bank accounts, among others which totally requires an individual to be having attachments from National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA).
She revealed that National Identification Registration Authority (NIRA) has established different offices across the country, hence asking the public to utilize every opportunity and register themselves to have National Identity cards, Birth certificates among other documents that are issued by National Identification Registration Authority (NIRA).
In August 2022 National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) organized music, dance and drama competition as an effective tool of communication to both the children, and parents among other stakeholders, to urge them to embrace the birth registration exercise where the competitions were hosted at Master Cares Christian School in Kyotera District to put emphasis on particular aspects where both the parents and children realize the importance of birth registration according to Mr. Gilbert Kadilo, the Manager of Public Relations and Corporate Affairs at NIRA.
