The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, yesterday confirmed 32 Confirmants into the Anglican Faith during a service at Katojo Church of Uganda Parish, Rwancerere Archdeaconry in Kahungye, Ndorwa West County in Kabale District.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical passage found in Luke 18:35, wherein Jesus, nearing Jericho, encountered a blind man beseeching alms by the roadside, Bishop Akanjuna passionately implored Christians to embrace unwavering belief in God, stressing that such steadfast faith has the power to effect profound transformation in one’s life.
Bishop Akanjuna exhorted the congregation to steadfastly adhere to the timeless principles and ethical guidelines governing family life. He emphasized that anchoring one’s familial foundation in faith not only fosters spiritual growth but also paves the path to prosperity.
Bishop Akanjuna also underscored the pivotal role of Jesus Christ within the family unit, proclaiming that households centered on His teachings are destined for triumph in all their endeavors and highlighted the manifold challenges encountered by families bereft of spiritual guidance, urging them to heed the call of faith for a more fulfilling existence.
