Kabale District Woman MP Calls for Unity & Development, Rejects Segregation

KABALE – The Kabale District Woman MP, Hon. Atwakiire Catherine Ndamira has urged Christians to embrace unity and development, shun religious, tribal, and cultural segregation.

Atwakiire made this appeal today while fulfilling her pledge of 50 bags of cement to Ryakarimira Town Catholic Hiika, Rwanyana Parish in Ryakarimira Town Council, Ndorwa West Constituency, Kabale district. The pledge, represented by her dedicated Political Assistant, Mr. Akampurira Alex, emphasized the importance of trusting the leaders that the public voted for in the last election.

Speaking on behalf of Hon. Ndamira, Akampurira challenged the community to reject religious segregation, emphasizing that the MP is committed to representing and working for all citizens, regardless of gender, age, tribe, or religion.

At Bigaga Revival Tabernacle Church in Bigaga Parish and later at Kitooma Church of Uganda, Akampurira continued to uphold the spirit of unity and development. He honored pledges of iron sheets, each amounting to 500,000 shillings, for both churches situated in Butanda and Kahungye Sub Counties. At Kitooma Church of Uganda, Akampurira encouraged the Christian community to take advantage of the piggery project initiated during Hon. Ndamira’s previous term as MP. The project aimed to uplift households from poverty at the village level.

Christians expressed their appreciation for Hon. Ndamira’s timely fulfillment of her pledges. They also called upon her to continue advocating for the improvement of the constituency through effective lobbying efforts.
