RUBANDA – Hon Prossy Akampulira Mbabazi, the Rubanda district woman MP, and Commissioner of Parliament of Uganda, delivered a powerful message to boys and girls, urging them to avoid early marriages and prioritize education.
She emphasized the importance of staying in school until completing their studies.
During the confirmation ceremony of over 500 Confirmants into Catholic faith at Rubanda Parish in Rubanda District, Hon Prossy addressed the audience. The event was presided over by Rev Fr Lauben Mubangizi, who represented the Bishop of Kabale diocese.
The MP encouraged ConfirmantsĀ to remain steadfast in their faith in Jesus Christ and to utilize the gifts of the Holy Spirit they had received.
To support the occasion, Hon Prossy generously contributed more than 1 million Ugandan Shillings to the Deacon who is set to be ordained next week on Saturday. She also purchased soda worth 1 million Ugandan Shillings for the Confirmants, provided 500,000 Ugandan Shillings to the choir, and offered financial assistance for the pastoral coordinator’s transportation.
In her speech, Hon Prossy reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the development of parish projects, as she had consistently done in the past. Her dedication to the welfare of the community and her willingness to contribute both financially and morally were highly commendable.
The MP’s involvement in such significant events showcases her dedication to empowering the youth and supporting religious endeavors. By advising young boys and girls to prioritize education and avoid early marriages, she aims to promote a better future for them and the entire community.
