They say that the stench has become unbearable, disrupting daily life, and making it difficult for them to eat and carry out their routines.
Southern Division Chairperson Denis Ngabirano has attributed the stench to police negligence, claiming that bodies left untreated by the police are decomposing in the mortuary, causing the foul smell. Ngabirano mentioned that attempts to contact the police and other relevant authorities to resolve the issue have been unsuccessful. He urged the government to upgrade the mortuary to effectively address the problem.
