Ggoobi commended the Ministers and staff for achieving significant milestones in 2024, particularly in sustaining economic recovery and maintaining price stability.

“Through proper coordination of fiscal and monetary policy, we have successfully sustained economic recovery from the shocks experienced at the start of the third National Development Plan. The economy has fully recovered, with real GDP growth projected at 6.4% for FY2024/25, within the target range of 6% to 7% outlined in our current Strategic Plan,” Ggoobi noted.

He also praised the Ministry’s effective coordination of the budget process, progress on the fiscal consolidation agenda, and the successful operationalization of the Financial Inclusion Pillar under the Parish Development Model (PDM).

Ggoobi revealed that Ushs. 2.094 trillion had been directly transferred to the bank accounts of 10,589 PDM SACCOs, benefiting 2.135 million individuals nationwide.
