The Emeritus Bishop of Kabale Diocese, Rt Rev Callist Rubaramira has confirmed 524 Christians from Christ the King Parish in Kabale Municipality into the Catholic faith following the administration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Delivering his homily during the confirmation Mass on Saturday, Bishop Rubaramira reminded the newly confirmed Christians that they are united in Christ and called to live as His disciples, noting that the scripture readings emphasized their identity as one body in Christ through Baptism and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

He urged the confirmants to recognize the honour and responsibility bestowed upon them through the sacraments, calling on them to become the salt and light of the world.

Bishop Rubaramira observed that while some people struggle to acquire political positions that last only five years, Christians receive a much greater and lasting privilege through Baptism, which unites them with Christ.
