A 24-year-old clinical officer who publicly confessed in a Nakawa church, Kampala, to killing a 45-year-old woman in Kabale has been transported back to Kabale Central Police Station.
The suspect, Clinton Mwesiime, a volunteer at Hamurwa Health Centre IV and resident of Hamurwa Town Council, Rubanda District, but originally from Mitooma District, allegedly murdered Leonada Kobusingye, a resident of Ahataba Village, Shebeya Parish, Hamurwa Sub County, Rubanda District, on July 27, 2025 at Cheers Public and Accommodation in Kabale Town before fleeing.
According to Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, Mwesiime was transferred from Jinja Road Police Station on Wednesday.
Maate added that the suspect will be arraigned in court upon completion of police investigations.
