KABALE – Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Honorable Catheline Atwakiire Ndamira, has advised to the youth to be conscious about the influence of modern societal trends.
In her message, conveyed by her political assistant, Mr. Alex Akampurila, on Thursday Evening at the official opening of the three-day youth conference at St. Peters Karujanga Church of Uganda Parish under Rukore Archdeaconry in Kabale District, Honorable Atwakiire emphasized the need for cultural values among the youth to guide their educational pursuits.
Honorable Atwakiire expressed concern that many youths are adopting misguided cultural practices, neglecting traditional values that should shape their educational environments.
She urged them to prioritize goals that contribute to becoming responsible citizens.
Speaking at the conference, Reverend Jackson Kawera, the parish priest of St. Peters Karujanga, encouraged the youth to lead faithful lives and actively combat poverty and ignorance within their community.
