NTUNGAMO: The Minister for Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Monica Musenero Masanza, has praised the ongoing work at Inspire Africa Coffee Park and pledged continued government support for the project. This initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to add value to Uganda’s coffee through processing and manufacturing, ultimately increasing revenue from coffee exports.

During her impromptu visit to Inspire Africa Coffee Park in Ntungamo District on Tuesday, Minister Musenero emphasized that Uganda is not traditionally known for value addition but stressed the need to change that narrative. She highlighted Uganda’s ambition to establish itself as a hub for value-added products, with initiatives like the coffee park playing a crucial role in this transformation.

She noted that the project is being fast-tracked to showcase Uganda’s potential in value addition, particularly in the coffee industry. Minister Musenero also encouraged Ugandans to take part in the upcoming Coffee Marathon, scheduled for May 24, 2025, at the Inspire Africa Coffee Park in Rwashamire, Ntungamo District.
