The Kabale Municipality Member of Parliament, Dr. Nicholas Thaddeus Kamara, has been officially nominated to contest for re-election on the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) ticket.
Dr. Kamara was nominated at exactly 11:53 a.m.by Aisha Nansubuga, the Kabale District Electoral Commission Returning Officer on Wednesday.
Speaking shortly after his nomination, Dr. Kamara reaffirmed his commitment to improving service delivery in Kabale Municipality, with a particular focus on the health sector.
During his first term in Parliament, he spearheaded several health initiatives, including the donation of ultrasound scans, training programs for health workers, and the distribution of Mama Kits to hundreds of expectant mothers.
He also donated an ambulance to boost healthcare services in the municipality.
Looking ahead, Dr. Kamara pledged to build on these achievements by expanding his efforts to other key sectors such as education and infrastructure development.
He also urged for peaceful and respectful campaigns, encouraging voters to choose leaders with a proven record of service delivery.
“Our focus should be on unity and progress. Let us work together to transform Kabale Municipality,” Dr. Kamara said.
Dr. Kamara recently crossed from the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) to the People’s Front for Freedom, citing his admiration for the party’s vision and his long-standing support for Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye.
