The Member of Parliament for Ndorwa East County, Honorable Wilfred Niwagaba, has called on priests from the Congregation of the Apostles of Jesus to serve as exemplary ambassadors of Kabale Diocese in their ministry.
Hon. Niwagaba made the remarks on Saturday during the ordination ceremony of eight deacons into the priesthood at Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushoraza Cathedral Parish grounds in Kabale District. The event was marked by a solemn Mass presided over by the Bishop of Kabale Diocese, Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira.
Addressing the newly ordained priests, Hon. Niwagaba emphasized the importance of representing the values of the Diocese, particularly for those assigned to serve outside Uganda.
“I urge you to be good ambassadors of Kabale Diocese, especially those posted in countries like Tanzania and Kenya,” Niwagaba said. “You have a responsibility to unite Christians and offer spiritual guidance, especially during politically sensitive times.”
