KISORO – Over 300 members of the Urban Authorities Association of Uganda (UAAU) are currently convening for the 58th Annual General Meeting at Seseme Blessed Girl’s Secondary School in Kisoro Municipality.
The theme for this year’s annual general meeting is “Accelerating Socio-Economic Transformation of Uganda through Urbanization and Industrialization: A Role for All of Us.”
According to Dr. Sanya K.F. Wilson, the Chairperson of UAAU, the Minister for Local Government, Raphael Magyezi, is expected to be the guest of honor, along with other distinguished dignitaries. Dr. Wilson appealed to the public not to overcharge visitors for their services, fostering a welcoming environment.

Ndyana Richard, the Mayor of Kisoro Municipality, highlighted the significance of this gathering, emphasizing that it has brought together leaders from various urban areas. Mayor Richard also disclosed that they plan to articulate their expectations during the meeting, seeking consideration from the ministers in upcoming financial years.
