BBUC Girls Impress: Notch a Dominant 10-0 Victory Against ACCT in KADGLA Football Tournament

KABALE – Bishop Barham University College of Uganda Christian University Girls have dominated the Kabale District Guild Leaders Association – KADGLA Football Tournament, defeating African College of Commerce and Technology with a resounding 10-0 victory.

Third-year Mass Communication students, Fortunate Mutuuzo and Swifa Nduhukire, showcased their skills with hat-tricks, while Precious Atwiine contributed a brace, and Vanisha Niwaha along with Natuhurira Precious sealed the comprehensive win.

ACCT’s goalkeeper, Confidence Vumilia, endured a challenging day, leading to her substitution towards the end of the match due to difficulties in stopping the relentless attacks.

Speaking to the press post-match, BBUC Girls Football Team Captain Deborah Kiconco credited their success to experience, squad depth, rigorous training, and composed ball control.

On the other hand, ACCT Team Captain Evelyn Orikiriza attributed their defeat to a lack of teamwork and the aggressive playing style of the BBUC girls, mentioning that they felt overwhelmed by the intense tackles.
