BUHWEJU: Four mourners have tragically lost their lives in a road accident that occurred in Buhweju District, leaving 10 others injured.
The incident took place when a mini-bus carrying 14 mourners from Ibanda District to a burial in Nyakaziba Town Council, Buhweju District, broke down on the Kashambya-Nyakishenyi slope on Sunday.
The mini-bus, identified by registration number UBG746T, faced a mechanical failure, resulting in the tragic event.
The injured individuals, most of whom are in critical condition, have been admitted to Ibanda Hospital for urgent medical attention.
As of now, the bodies of the deceased remain at Ibanda Hospital mortuary, awaiting postmortem examination.
As of press time, the police have not issued any statements regarding the incident.
