KABALE: The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Honorable Catheline Atwakiire Ndamira, has urged SACCOs to organize seminars aimed at educating people on responsible loan utilization.
Her message was delivered by her political assistant, Alex Akampurila, during the 19th Annual General Meeting of Hakashenyi Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Limited (HASACCO) at the Kicumbi Catholic Church Centre in Kamuganguzi sub-county, Kabale District this Saturday.
Honorable Atwakiire emphasized that many SACCOs suffer losses due to mismanagement of loan funds, stemming from a lack of understanding on loan management.
She urged the public to refrain from unnecessary spending on unproductive ventures, especially after acquiring SACCO loans.
