RUKIGA: The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, has cautioned students about the misuse of Internet resources available to them if they wish to benefit from the expanding world of ICT.

Bishop Akanjuna delivered his message yesterday during a service preceding the inauguration of a UGX 255 million ICT/E-learning center at Kihanga Secondary School in Rukiga district.

Bishop Akanjuna emphasized the importance of utilizing ICT for educational purposes, cautioning against the harmful effects of accessing inappropriate content, such as pornography, which could adversely impact their spiritual and future well-being.

He also highlighted the dark side of the internet, citing cyberbullying, online scams, and social media addiction as prevalent vices. He urged the youth to exercise caution in their online activities and view the internet as a tool for both personal and societal growth.
