Reports gathered by our diligent reporter indicate that Expedito had been battling diabetes and hypertension. Sadly, he peacefully departed from this world yesterday evening at Mulago National Referral Hospital in Kampala.
At the time of his passing, Expedito was diligently fulfilling his duties as the Chairperson of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kisoro branch. Beyond his professional commitments, he was known for his amiable nature and his close ties with the media fraternity in Kisoro District.
Expedito’s journey in public service began long before his tenure as Speaker. Initially, he navigated the roads as a dedicated driver, traversing various countries in the region before retiring and transitioning into politics.
His political career commenced humbly, serving as the LCII Chairman of Gasiza Parish.
His commitment and leadership skills were quickly recognized, propelling him to the position of LC5 councilor for Nyakabande Sub County. Throughout his tenure, he chaired numerous committees at the district level, demonstrating his adeptness at governance and consensus-building.
Expedito’s allegiance to the National Resistance Movement Party was unwavering. He served as the Vice Chairman in Kisoro District, leaving an indelible mark on the party’s local operations. Additionally, he lent his expertise to vital areas such as healthcare, notably chairing the Kisoro District Health Committee.
Expedito has been the NRM party supervisor in Kisoro District.
