KAMPALA: The body of former Member of Parliament for Amuria and Presidential Press Secretary, Hon. Onapito Ekomoloit, will be laid to rest in late November 2024, as per his wishes outlined in his will.
Hon. Onapito, who was also the Board Chairman of Nile Breweries Ltd, passed away last week at the age of 58. His body is currently being kept at Mulago National Referral Hospital for proper management.
   “In consultation with the family, burial will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2024 in Asalatap, Wera, Amuria District. This allows time for the construction of the tomb in accordance with the wishes of the late Onapito Ekomoloit,” the National Organizing Committee (NOC) said in a statement.
According to the Minister for the Presidency, Milly Babalanda, the President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has granted an official burial for the late Hon. Francis Onapito Ekomoloit.
In his condolence message, President Museveni expressed deep sorrow over Hon. Onapito’s passing, describing him as a dedicated public servant whose legacy will be remembered by all Ugandans.
