KABALE: Nyabikoni Primary School in Central Division, Kabale Municipality, is seeking funding to integrate the Junior Landcare project into its school feeding program.

Rick Kamugisha, the Knowledge Management Officer at Uganda Landcare Network, explains that many of the students at the school are orphans or come from disadvantaged families who cannot afford lunch at home.

Kamugisha told our reporter that the school received a 2 Million-shilling grant from the Global Landcare Network, which helped launch the Junior Landcare project. However, the school faces challenges maintaining it, particularly during dry seasons. He stated that additional funding would enable the school to secure water tanks to ensure a steady water supply for the garden.
