KAMPALA: The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party President, Patrick Amuriat Oboi, has urged Muslims to pray for peace, justice, and prosperity in Uganda as they begin the holy month of Ramadan.
In a message shared on the FDC’s official X handle on Saturday, Amuriat emphasized that Ramadan is a time for prayer, reflection, and sacrifice, reminding believers of the values of compassion, unity, and generosity.
He noted that this sacred month provides an opportunity to strengthen faith, seek forgiveness, and extend kindness to those in need.
Amuriat also called on people of all faiths to remember those unjustly imprisoned for their political beliefs.
He expressed hope that Ramadan would bring freedom to the oppressed, courage to those who stand for justice, and renewed hope for a democratic Uganda.
Reaffirming the FDC’s commitment to advocating for a just and free society, he stressed the importance of ensuring that every Ugandan, regardless of their faith, can live in dignity and harmony.
He concluded his message by asking Allah to grant all Muslims strength, patience, and abundant blessings throughout the holy month.
