KASESE: Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has issued a stern warning to political actors against using the name of His Majesty Omusinga, Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma, in their campaigns.

In a press release signed by Acting Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale, the Cultural Institution distanced itself from statements allegedly made by Winnie Kiiza Nyabahasa while campaigning for the National Unity Platform (NUP) in the Kawempe North by-election.

A circulating video on social media shows Nyabahasa claiming that Omusinga had sent her to urge supporters to rally behind the NUP candidate.

However, during a press briefing at the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Liaison Office in Kasese, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Noah Nzaghale dismissed the claim as false.
