KANUNGU: Police in Kanungu District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Abraham Mugarura, a 30-year-old resident of Karonde Village, Nyakinoni Parish, in Nyakinoni Sub-county.
According to police reports, on Thursday at around 8:00 AM, Gad Byaruhanga, the chairperson of Karonde Village, informed the LC II chairperson that Mugarura had been found dead in Kururagire Farm.
The LC II chairperson then reported the matter to Katete Police Post for further investigation.
Preliminary findings indicate that Mugarura had been drinking at a bar owned by Kemigisha Rhoda, and authorities suspect he may have been poisoned.
