RUKUNGIRI: The Week two of the IGP Football Tournament delivered everything fans love, drama, goals, and some classic police football banter as units from across the country clashed in spirited matchups.
Down in the Kigezi sub-region at Rukungiri Main Stadium, Rukungiri Police Station secured a narrow 1-0 win over Rukiga Police Station.
However, the anticipated clash between Kisoro and Kanungu did not take place. Kanungu personnel were attending the burial of the late D/ASP Byamugisha Fulgence, who was attached to Buhweju Police Station but hailed from Butogota, Kayonza, Kanungu District.
Elly Maate, spokesperson for Kigezi Region Police, confirmed that the postponed match will be rescheduled.
