Police in Kabale District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified man whose body was discovered in a bush at Omunturo Village, Nyakasharara Parish, in Kaharo Sub-county.

According to Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate, the incident occurred on Wednesday at around 5:00 PM.

Maate revealed that earlier in the week, the deceased had been spotted walking alone in Nyanja by the area chairman, Twinomugisha Silver, who then escorted him to Nyanja Police Post.

Police officers attempted to gather information about his identity, but the man refused to cooperate and later left the station on his own.

On Wednesday, his body was found by herdsmen lying lifeless and bruised in the bushes near a river in Omunturo Village. It is suspected that he was killed by unknown individuals.
