Authorities at Kabale Trinity College in Kabale Municipality are seeking Shs 2.2 billion to construct a boys’ dormitory, a dining hall, and a fine arts room to improve the learning environment and student welfare.

The school’s Director, Joab Tumwebarize, revealed that due to the lack of proper accommodation facilities, the school has been renting premises to house male students, forcing them to walk long distances to school.

He added that a dining hall estimated at Shs 500 million, along with a fine arts and music room, are part of the development priorities.

To raise funds, the school on Sunday held a 30 Years of Excellence celebration at its premises in Kabale Municipality. Proceeds from the event will go towards funding the new infrastructure projects.

During the function, more than Shs 100 million was raised through cash donations and pledges. The event was officiated by the Emeritus Bishop of Kigezi Diocese, Retired Rev. George Katwesigye, who served as the main celebrant.
