The Proprietor of Macro Hardware and Patron of the Kigezi HomeBoyz Football Club Fans Committee, Eng. Joram Baguma, has called on sports enthusiasts across the Kigezi Sub-region to throw their full support behind the club ahead of the new FUFA Big League season.

On Sunday, Baguma took his message to the pews, attending Mass at Christ the King Catholic Parish and Service at All Saints Church in Kabale Municipality, where he urged Christians to rally behind the team both on and off the pitch.

As part of the campaign, he donated Kigezi HomeBoyz FC -branded jerseys to Christ the King Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Fred Birungi, and All Saints Church Vicar Rev. Emmanuel Akankwasta Mateka.

The gesture, he said, was meant to inspire community pride and encourage the purchase of official club merchandise.

“This is about mobilizing the community to support the boys on match days,” Baguma said. “We want to see our stands full of fans wearing our colors.”

Baguma has been a consistent backer of the club. In September 2024, he donated 40 original Molten balls, two sets of training kits, and key equipment such as cones, agility ladders, slalom poles, and resistance bands.

Two months later, in November, he contributed Shs 20 million to strengthen the team’s growth.

“As Macro Hardware, we pledged three years ago to partner with Kigezi HomeBoyz to nurture talent and skills,” Baguma noted. “I’m prouder giving 20 million shillings to the club than buying a big car. This is our passion, developing sports in Kigezi.”

With the new FUFA Big League season looming, Baguma’s message was clear: Kigezi HomeBoyz FC needs its twelfth man, its fans, to step up.
