The Kisoro District Woman Member of Parliament, Grace Akifeza Ngabirano, has expressed concern over the increasing school dropout rate among boys, noting that, unlike in previous years, the number of girls in schools now surpasses that of their male counterparts.
Ngabirano made the remarks on Friday evening during the Western Region Women’s Conference at St. Andrew’s Seseme Cathedral in Kisoro District, held under the theme “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). She urged parents to give equal attention and support to all children, regardless of gender.
