Kanungu District Local Government is mourning the death of one of its staff members, Edison Mbabazi, who passed away on Monday night at Bwindi Community Hospital.
The news was confirmed by the District Communications Officer, Mwajuma Twaha Adams, who said the cause of death had not yet been established.
“Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Kanungu District, Awuye Abadallah, announces with sadness the untimely passing of his employee, Mbabazi Edison, son of Mzee Yosamu Tukamuhabwa, popularly known as ‘Good Man,’ who has been serving as an accountant at the district headquarters,” Mwajuma stated in a Tuesday morning announcement.
Burial is scheduled for Wednesday, 1st October 2025, at the deceased’s ancestral home in Ntabagwe (formerly Kishenyi-Kanyantorogo), Rugarama Parish, Kihembe Sub-County.
