The Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) will construct several classrooms and toilets in Ndorwa County West as part of activities to mark the 45th Tarehe Sita next year.

Tarehe Sita, celebrated annually on February 6th, commemorates the day the National Resistance Army (NRA) launched its liberation struggle.

The national celebrations will be hosted in six districts, Kisoro, Kabale, Rubanda, Kanungu, Rukungiri and Rukiga in recognition of the region’s pivotal role in Uganda’s liberation struggle.

Earlier this Month, Maj. Gen. Henry Masiko, the Joint Staff, Political Commissariat and overall coordinator of the event, said Kigezi’s deep historical contribution made it the natural choice to host this year’s commemorations.

Launching his Manifesto at Kibuga Church of Uganda playground in Kibuga Sub-county, Kabale District on Thursday, the Ndorwa West NRM flag bearer Eliab Naturinda Mporera revealed that, through his connection with the Chief of Defense Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the UPDF will construct a five-stance latrine at Butuza Primary School in Kamuganguzi Sub-county.
