Eden Mission, a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to addressing social and economic challenges through the gospel of Jesus Christ, has disbursed Shs 105.7 million in microfinance support to three savings and credit cooperative groups (SACCOs) in Chahafi Town Council, Kisoro District.

The handover ceremony took place on Thursday at Gakoro Church of Uganda in Buyora Cell, where beneficiary groups, Gisha Cell SACCO, Gatete Cell SACCO, and Buyora Cell SACCO, received their funds.

The groups comprise couples who successfully completed Eden Mission’s one-year free training program focused on spiritual growth, healthy marriages, positive parenting, physical health, and financial management.

Eden Mission Executive Director Kenneth Rwego commended the couples for their dedication and commitment to the training, urging them to build stable families and use the funds to start small, manageable ventures that can grow over time.

“Begin small but with a clear vision. Use these resources wisely in animal rearing, crop production, or small businesses. Avoid habits such as alcoholism that hinder development,” Rwego advised.
