Police in Kampala Metropolitan North are investigating the murder of Aneza Merisa, a student of Naalya Secondary School, Lugazi Campus.

The case was first reported at Wandegeya Police Station on 6th November 2025 by her mother, Kamuganga Sarah, after the student went missing.

On 10th November 2025, a decomposing body was recovered from Musaale Swamp in Namulaba Village, Kyampisi Subcounty, under Nagalama Police Station.

The body was found dressed in a navy-blue school skirt labeled “Nanyonga VII,” raising suspicion that the victim was a student.

Due to the advanced state of decomposition, the body was initially buried by mortuary staff in Kayunga.
