Kisoro District Resident Commissioner (RDC) Hajji Badru Ssebyala has cautioned technical officers in the district against engaging in corruption, urging them instead to champion peace and stability in their communities.

Ssebyala made the remarks at Nyakabande Transit Centre during the closure of the annual 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), held from November 25 to December 10 under the theme “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.”

Ssebyala stressed the importance of reducing violence in homes and communities, noting that empowerment should come through education and financial independence, not through intimidation or abuse.
