Construction of a multi-purpose block at St John’s Secondary School Ikumba in Hamurwa Town Council, Rubanda District, has reached 90 per cent completion, school authorities have said.

The facility, once completed, is expected to ease classroom congestion and improve the teaching and learning of science subjects at the school.

Rubanda District LC5 chairman Stephen Ampeire Kasyaba said the project was made possible through government support and lobbying by Finance Minister Henry Musasizi.

“Had it not been the President who appointed Minister Musasizi as Finance Minister, we would not have got this building,” Kasyaba said.

He assured residents that the remaining works would be completed.
