A Kampala-based disc jockey and TikTok personality known as DJ Magical Kay is reportedly facing growing fears for his safety after Luwero-based social media influencer Muzeyi Magala allegedly threatened to harm him unless he apologises over insults exchanged during an online political dispute.
The confrontation reportedly stems from comments Magala made about National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine.
Magala reportedly argued that Bobi Wine would be worse than President Yoweri Museveni if he took power, sparking angry reactions from some NUP supporters on social media.
DJ Magical Kay was among those who reportedly criticised Magala over the remarks, with the exchange escalating into personal insults and accusations.
According to claims circulating online, Magala subsequently threatened to use deadly herbs and evil spirits against DJ Kay in the coming days unless the TikToker swallowed his pride and apologised for the alleged insults.
The reported threats have raised concerns among some social media users, particularly because the dispute appears to have moved beyond political disagreement into a personal confrontation involving alleged threats against an individual’s life.
However, the allegations have not been independently verified, and it remains unclear whether DJ Magical Kay has formally reported the matter to police or whether authorities have opened an investigation.
The controversy has also revived claims about Magala’s past business dealings in Kasana town, Luwero District. Some people who claim to know the influencer allege that he previously operated a shoe shop and a popcorn business in the area.
Unverified accounts circulating among his alleged acquaintances further claim that Magala was previously linked to the death of a man following a business disagreement.
