KABALE – Authorities at Kigezi High School in Kabale District have Okayed the partnership with St. Paul’s School in Visalia, a city located in the agricultural San Joaquin Valley of California, United States to bridge educational standards and enhance the overall learning experience for students.
The partnership was formalized today, following the fulfillment of a generous pledge made by Rev. Richard Menes and his wife Martha from California. They had committed to contributing One Million during the Centenary celebrations of Kigezi High School in September of this year.
According to Rev. Menes and his wife Martha, the roots of this collaboration are the initiative of Bishop Emeritus Rt Rev Eng George Bagamuhuma during his tenure as the diocesan Bishop. The partnership gained momentum as the Bishop of the San Joaquin Diocese reaffirmed the commitment during the consecration and enthronement of Bishop Gaddie Akanjuna.
They says the collaborative efforts between Kigezi High School and St. Paul’s School in Visalia are anticipated to extend beyond the initial three-year period, even after the completion of their gospel preaching mission in the diocese.
Abraham Akampurira, the Head Teacher of Kigezi High School, expressed optimism about the partnership. He believes that it will establish a broader network for both schools, expose learners to the global dynamics, and facilitate the acquisition of diverse skills.
