KISORO – The Grade One Magistrate court in Kisoro district, presided over by His Worship Dismas Muchelule has today adjourned the case of theft involving a teenager to 9th January 2024.
The Convict Kennedy Ruhangariyo (18), a resident of Kabitojo village, Kashenyi ward, Nyanamo Town council in Kisoro District is accused of blocking the store of Byaruhanga Alex on 11th November 2023, and stealing a sack of fertilizer and a spraying pump valued at 200,000 Shillings.
The prosecution, led by Best Kemigisha Niwagaba, along with complainant Byaruhanga Alex, informed the court that Byarugaba Didas, a witness, had reported the early morning incident to Alex, prompting him to instruct Didas to inform the Nyanamo police post for an immediate investigation.
The prosecution further revealed that the suspect was found in possession of a solar battery and smartphone allegedly stolen from a neighbor.
Following the prosecution’s presentation, His Worship Dismas Muchelule adjourned the case for another mention on 9th January 2024.
