MBARARA – Police in Mbarara district are investigating the brutal murder of Ainembabazi Ruth, an 18-year-old S.6 vacist, and her mother Bashaba Francisco, a 49-year-old peasant in Ntura parish of Mbarara district.

The incident occurred last week on Friday night at Nsiika cell, Ntura parish in Mbarara District.

“The gathered facts indicate that the mother, in the company of her daughter, visited her brother in Nsiika cell, where she received a call from her husband, Musinguzi Deus, aged 55, with whom they were not on good terms, inquiring about their whereabouts. The duo later returned home and remained unseen until 6.01.2024, when concerned residents checked their house. They discovered the two victims dead, both with their heads smashed by a blunt object,” stated Uganda Police spokesperson SCP Fred Enanga.
