KABALE – Kabale District Local Government leaders, led by District Woman MP Honorable Catherine Atwakire Ndamira, Ndorwa East MP Wilfred Niwagaba, District Chairperson Nelson Nshangabasheija, and CAO Fred Kalyesubula, officially launched the construction of four twin staff houses at Maziba Health Centre IV in Maziba Sub County on Monday.

This initiative aims to enhance service delivery at the facility.

During the launch held at the facility premises, Kabale District Engineer Januario Bagamuhunda stated that the contract, valued at 681 Million Shillings, was awarded to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Engineers Brigade.

The health centre, serving over 1,300 patients monthly from Ndorwa East County and neighboring Rwanda, employs 42 health workers, with less than ten currently residing on-site.

The 681 Million Shillings funding was secured through lobbying by Ndorwa East County MP Wilfred Niwagaba and Kabale District Woman MP Catherine Atwakire Ndamira.
