KISORO – A section local council chairpersons in Kisoro District have opposed Minister Raphael Magyezi’s directive to cease charging residents for document stamping and other services.
Minister Magyezi emphasizes that these services should be provided free of charge to assist community members.
However, Daudi Line, the LCI Chairperson of Kalumena village Kamonyi ward, Northern division Kisoro municipality, urges that the Ex-Gratia they receive is insufficient given the significant services they provide to the communities.

Supporting this perspective, Sam Munezero, the LCI Chairperson of Kisoro hill, points out that they face substantial operational costs for their offices.
